Jake Wiltshire
Senior Technical Theatre Designer
Jake has over 20 years freelance lighting design experience for productions both in the UK and Worldwide and several years working as a Lighting and Theatre Consultant.
Jake's production designs have been seen with major opera companies such as the Royal Opera House, Welsh National Opera and New Zealand Opera as well as with prestigious site specific European opera festivals such As Savonlinna Opera Festival and the St. Galler Festspiele.
His consultancy work has seen him work on projects in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and across the UK, from state theatres, amphitheatres, training institutions and concert halls.
For 15 years Jake also held the position of Technical Manager for the Royal Academy of Music and Technical Director for the Academy’s in-house opera company RAO. Jake’s work with the Academy culminated in his role as client representative for the institution’s ambitious £28m transformation project of its theatre and recital spaces. He held specific responsibility for co-ordination across design teams with lighting positions, lighting systems, automation and flying layout
